Emergency First Aid at Work

Outline

This qualification has been developed for all staff that require a basic qualification in first aid as part of their role. The purpose of the qualification is providing an overview of current first aid practices in order for the learner to be able to confidently apply their knowledge in an emergency situation. Learners will be support to build knowledge and apply their skills in a simulated environment

Description

Objectives for the session include:
  • To be able to describe the role of the first aider in assessing an incident and applying emergency first aid
  • To explain the importance of early intervention in a first aid situation
  • To be able to list equipment used during a first aid incident
  • To practice CPR and other practical first aid techniques in a safe, simulated environment

Booking Information

Please note delegates will need to be able to complete a number of practical activities at floor level. Photographic ID WILL be required for this course

Audience

For those who are required to have a first aid qualification as part of their role, this is also applicable to those completing the H&SC induction
